Spider Anginoma pathology

Spider veins are small, damaged veins that can appear on the surface of the legs or face. They are usually not painful or harmful.

Telangiectasia can have causes that aren't due to underlying disease. Examples include rosacea, ageing, genetics, pregnancy, sun exposure or varicose veins.

Spider veins occur when blood pools in veins near the surface of the skin. They can be caused by heredity, obesity, trauma, and fluctuations in hormone levels. In many cases, the exact cause is not known. They tend to become more numerous with age, and are common among people over 30 and in pregnant women.

Spider veins usually disappear in 3 to 6 weeks. Varicose veins take 3 to 4 months. To get the best results, you may need 2 or 3 treatments. A dermatologist can perform these treatments during an office visit.

Prevention: Exercise regularly to improve your leg strength, circulation, and vein strength. Control your weight to avoid placing too much pressure on your legs. Do not cross your legs when sitting and try to elevate your legs when resting. Wear compression stockings. Do not stand for long periods of time.

Spider veins usually don't lead to complications or more serious issues. In most cases, they don' require treatment. But, if you've got spider veins and you're uncomfortable or self-conscious about them, there are ways to help ease your symptoms and reduce their appearance.

Venous conditions such as deep vein thrombosis and chronic venous insufficiency increase the pressure in the affected vein. Then that high venous pressure causes other problems.

In some situations exercise may be able to help patients who suffer from varicose and spider veins. Exercise helps because it improves the circulation of blood throughout your body. When blood circulation is increased, it could dramatically improve the appearance of unsightly varicose or spider veins.

The bottom line, spider veins will not disappear on their own. This is why it is crucial to treat them immediately to prevent them from getting worse. It's especially important to talk to a specialist if you have any related pain or swelling, which may indicate underlying diseases.

While losing weight can help prevent the formation of new abnormal veins and protect vein health, once a spider vein appears, it is permanent unless destroyed. Fortunately, vein doctors are able to get rid of these annoying vessels with convenient outpatient procedures.

While their presence indicates a blood flow problem somewhere when the veins are carrying blood back to the heart to be oxygenated, varicose veins don't cause or indicate heart problems.
